The Oregon Off-Road Association (OORA) held their first race of the 2014 race season on May 3-4 at Riddle Raceway in Riddle, OR. The May Throwdown went off successfully despite a threatening weather forecast that never produced a drop of rain. Thanks to Gary “G” Armstrong and Juli Miller from Dirt-N-Dunez Photography for submitting a full run down from this event. The next event for the OORA will be their July 4-6 Independence Shootout at Riddle Raceway. Read on for results & photos from the May Throwdown.

Scoty  Burris in the near lane almost doubled up as he won the Pro Car class and scored a runner-up finish in the Sport Car class.


Budy Palmer (Near Lane) got the job done taking the Pro ATV class victory.


Tina Whitehurst won the Sport ATV category.


Joseph McCrory took the Juniors class victory.


Haley Wilson (Far Lane) scored the Runner-Up finish in the Pro Cars category with her Jeep.


Gary "G" Armstrong on a nice pass with his Pro ATV. G is a great promoter of sand drags in the Northwest, helping coordinate the OORA events this year & getting the word out about races across the Northwest.


Fred Green with a nice launch in his "Buzzin 1/2 Dozen" Dragster. Fred owns Riddle Raceway and is a great supporter of sand drags on the west coast.



Juli Miller from Dirt-N-Dunez Photography is not only good behind the camera, but on the track as well. Juli scored a Runner-Up finish in the Pro ATV class.
