Friday

Day one of the racing at the PTN East Coast Nationals in Newtown, VA was a battle against Mother Nature. A nagging on and off light rain didn’t deter racers from taking part in the afternoon Test and Tune. Thomas Carneal turned Low ET of the day recording an impressive 3.36 with his Nitrous-assisted Dodge Dakota. Due to imprending rain, the evening’s activities were scrapped after a Gambler’s race around 5 o’clock. A pair of Virginia racers squared off in the Gambler final as Josh Hostinksy shoed his Street-tired Chevy Truck to a string of excellent RT’s & close runs to his dial taking the victory over Eric Miller. The forecast for Saturday is looking more promising and racing action is planned to start at 10AM.
