The 2013 SCSDA Finals came to a thrilling conclusion on Sunday at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, CA. Jimmy DePasse made history in the DePasse/Otis Blown Jeep by not only winning the Pro Mod Unlimited class, but also setting a new A/Pro Jeep World Record with a 2.796 as well as being the first ever Jeep to dip into the 2.7-second range. Gary Mink continued his Top Alcohol class domination with an impressive string of 2.4-second laps to take the victory over Jim Hammond in the final round. Billy Morris had a double-up weekend to remember as he won both the Top Eliminator & Top Fuel classes. The Animal Control team proved unstoppable in Fast Fours action as Daniel, DL, and Dwight King made the right calls throughout the day and recorded a 2.88 to take the final round win over Don Minkle. The Pro Bracket classes were super competitive on Sunday with Bob Cambridge (Pro 1), Tara DeNunzio (Pro 2), Charlie Johnson (Pro 3), Brad Olson (Motorcycle Pro 1), and Jeff Coale (Motorcycle Pro 2) emerging victorious. The Junior classes were also on the card for today with Ryan Rodriguez (Junior Dragster), Kolton Wolfgang (Juniors), Levi Suggs (Mini Jr. Dragster), and Deegan Gutierrez (Peewees) all scoring big wins. **Run Sheets are now posted from this event.**

Atoka Motorsports Park in Atoka, OK hosted their Annual Fall Fest event in Mid-October. This race was the final point series race for Atoka Motorsports Park’s track championships as well as the Season Finale for the Mid-America Sand Drag Series. This led to some intense racing action across the board with racers from across the region and beyond converging on the Southeastern Oklahoma race track.

The 2014 Pro Truck Nationals (PTN) series is ready to hit the road with an exciting schedule for the new race season. Highlighting the season will be the PTN Pro Truck Championship Showdown. To determine the 2014 PTN Pro Truck Champion, the highly successful PTN Championship Weekend format (Fri - Pro Shootout; Sat - Pro Truck) will be used on two weekends with the best three finishes out of four nights worth of racing deciding the class champion. These events will happen at Big River Sand Drags in Bonne Terre, MO on June 13-14 and Little Sandy Raceway in Grayson, KY on September 12-13. PTN is excited to welcome a new partner track into the fold as the series will be going to Atoka Motorsports Park in Atoka, OK to kick off the 2014 season with Meet in the Middle Madness during the 16th Annual Heartland Nationals on Memorial Day Weekend May 23-25. This will be Race 1 of 3 in the Chase for the Championships in the PTN 3.5 Index, 3.95 Index Pro ATV, and Ironman categories; these classes will take the Best 2 out of 3 finishes to determine a champion. The PTN Pro Outlaw category will also return in 2014 with the points race consisting of the Big River & Little Sandy events. PTN will also be sponsoring the Pro Truck category at Dome Valley Raceway in Wellton, AZ’s upcoming 5th Annual Top Fuel Shootout on January 24-26. Avenal Sand Drags in Avenal, CA has released their 2014 race schedule. These events will be held on April 26-27 and October 18-19. The Avenal crew is planning some major improvements for the 2014 season, which will only make for even better racing at this great Central California track. The 2013 Mid-America Sand Drag Series came to an exciting conclusion in early October at Atoka Motorsports Park in Atoka, OK. A great turnout with racers from as far away as Michigan came out to support this Oklahoma event. MASD Series champions were crowned as Rod Trower (Top Alcohol), Terry Glasscock (Top Eliminator), Tim Feuerhelm (Pro 1 Cars), and Randy Kimbley (Pro 1 Quads) took home top honors.
